Before and After Amps Measurements |
| Purpose |
This test evaluates the how the lubricant impacts the energy consumption
of the air conditioner |
| Description |
ICE 22 was installed in 230 air conditioners in the Houston, Texas area of varying
tonnage (2-5 tons) at
different average ambient temperatures. The electrical line supplying power to the systems
was measured to determine the amount of electricity (amps) flowing through the air
conditioner. |
| Results |
These results demonstrate a significant electricity reduction:
- 6.56% amp reduction while the air conditioner is running
- 23.97% amp reduction when the air conditioner starts
