Title Before and After Amps Measurements
Purpose This test evaluates the how the lubricant impacts the energy consumption of the air conditioner
Description ICE 22 was installed in 230 air conditioners in the Houston, Texas area of varying tonnage (2-5 tons) at different average ambient temperatures. The electrical line supplying power to the systems was measured to determine the amount of electricity (amps) flowing through the air conditioner.
Results These results demonstrate a significant electricity reduction:
  • 6.56% amp reduction while the air conditioner is running
  • 23.97% amp reduction when the air conditioner starts
